Copper Fox Nails

I saw these nails on pintrest and just had to recreate them. First i needed to get all of the polish required so i scoured my local shop and found the perfect shade of metallic copper with hints of red.

1. First i drew out my plan on paper and collected everything i needed: orange polish, copper polish, white polish, black polish, top coat, acetone, wedge brush, striping brush, cleanup brush, dotting tools and sponge.
2. As always i applied a base coat to protect my nails and added the base colours onto the correct nails. Adding coats until the colours were opaque
3.Then took a small wedge brush and dipped it in the orange and painted on a leaf shape onto my ring finger, i practiced on paper before to ensure the shape was correct. Then using a mix of large dotting tools and wedge brushed i painted on the fox's outline onto my middle nail.
3. Dipping my striping brush into black polish and ensuring there are no clumps on it i added on the veins of the leaf being very careful.
4. Then using varying sizes of dotting tools i added the fox's eyes, tummy, feet, ears and nose. Being extra careful with the whites of the eyes as they decide if the fox will look cute or a little scary.
5. On the skin around both of the white nails add liquid latex to act as a barrier. Using a small sponge, brush on a small amount of the copper polish and dab this around the edge of the white nails creating a small gradient. To make the edges more opaque add on a little using the polish brush.
6. Seal everything in with a glossy topcoat and admire you lovely artwork!
