After hours of searching Pintrest for inspiration i decided i wanted to attempt to paint flowers on my nails. I made many plans and tested all my colours. Eventually i decided to do a grey, silver and flower nails.
They turned out beautifully and they look professional and sophisticated. The only slight problem was the jewels and striping were awkward to stick them on but they held fast after many layers of top coat.

To begin with i put clear base coat on all of my nails to ensure that they didn't stain.
For my flowery ring finger i started with a while base. I then took a purple, turquoise and blue polish as well as a small dotting tool, a small wedge brush as well as a small pointed one. The wedge goes in the purple and paints the petals, the pointed in the turquoise and paints the leaves and the dotter in the blue and paints the dotted flowers. I did lots of practice on paper first with both hands to ensure that they looked like flowers and looked the same. After painted the flowers on i added some of the glitters from the holo polish this ties the nails together. Finally i added a thick top coat.

For the thumb nail i painted them white, once they were dry and had a topcoat on, i added a straight nail vinyl and painted the top half grey. Then i painted flowers on the bottom half of the nail the same way as i painted the ring finger. I then let the layers dry and added a stripe of silver striping tape and cut at each end and them sealed it all with a glossy taco.
For my index and little finger nail i put a base of grey onto them and let that dry. Then i put a drop of clear nail vanish on and picked up a jewel using a dotting toll that was slightly wet. After dropping it onto my nail and letting it dry i added a thick topcoat over the whole nail.

Make sure that the jewels are at even heights on both hands by comparing and doing both simultaneously. For the next couple days i added extra clear layers to ensure the jewel would not fall off.

For my middle finger nail i got a holo glitter polish out and added a thin layer, then i tool a makeup sponge and painted the polish on there thickly. This soaks up lots of the liquid in the polish so you can sponge on dense glitter. I sponged this on and did several coats and then sealed the holo in with a thick top coat.
After i completed the nail i took a clean up brush and ran it around the cuticle with a bit of acetone. My nails are now finished and i LOVE them!
